Michael Fabes 4th in the World

Great news from the World Aquathlon Championships in Edmonton, Canada - our very own Michael Fabes represented GBR on Wednesday in this highly competitive swim-run event and came 4th behind two very strong Mexicans and an American, with a time of 28:34.

Michael was competing in the 16-19 yrs age group and is at the youngest end of the age bracket, so his performance was even more creditable. There were 21 competitors from around the world, and Michael was one of 7 Brits to take part - he is therefore the best in the country and everyone in the club is extremely proud of his achievement.

Especially nice to finish ahead of all the Aussie and Kiwi competitors, who are traditionally very strong at this event!
