So Proud of our National swimmers

We have two swimmers competing in the National Swimming Championships this year - Freddie Wilkinson is competing in the Age Group finals (12yrs) and Jamie Goldstone in the Youth finals (17/18yrs).

Freddie qualified for the 1500m Open Water finals by winning the SE Regional event and finished 5th at the Nationals last week.
He also competed strongly in a highly competitive field of over thirty 100m and 200m Breaststroke swimmers, coming 18th in the 200m and 19th in the 100m.

Jamie had an excellent swim in the heats of the 100m Breaststroke, finishing 10th overall, taking more than a second off his best time, and progressing into the semi-finals.
He couldn't quite match his time from the heats in the semi-finals and finished 13th, with less than half a second between 9th and 14th place.  A fantastic achievement in a very strong field.

Well done on your achievements, Freddie and Jamie - everyone at the club is extremely proud of you.
